What are you reading Wednesday? For me it's "We Used To Live Here"

Just finished We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer, and I’m still thinking about it. This book completely pulled me in — the kind of story where you tell yourself “just one more chapter” and suddenly an hour has passed.
The setup is so simple, yet so creepy: a couple finally moves into their dream home, ready to start fresh. Everything feels perfect… until a family shows up at the door saying they used to live there. What starts as an awkward, innocent interaction quickly turns strange, tense, and downright unsettling. And from that moment on, the book does an incredible job of making you question every character and every motive.
Kliewer’s writing is atmospheric in the best way. He slowly builds this sense of unease that just keeps growing — like something is off, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. You feel the isolation of the house, the shifting dynamics, the creeping paranoia. It’s psychological without being confusing, scary without relying on gore, and unpredictable in a way that keeps you hooked.
What I really loved is how the story explores the idea of home — who it belongs to, the memories it holds, and how quickly something familiar can turn unfamiliar. The twists hit at just the right moments, and the ending left me with that perfect “I need to talk to someone about this” feeling.
If you’re in the mood for a creepy, addictive thriller that you can read in a day or two, We Used to Live Here is a fantastic pick. Definitely one of those books that sticks with you long after you finish.
