As a mom constantly on the lookout for toys that don’t  involve endless screen time or loud, flashing chaos, I finally caved and tried something I’ve been hearing about for months: Tonies . And honestly? I get the hype. The Toniebox  has quickly become one of those rare toys that’s actually cute, practical, sturdy, and  magical enough to hold a kid’s attention longer than five minutes. Here’s my honest, real-life review after watching my kids play with it nonstop. 🧸 What Exactly Is a Toniebox? Think of the Toniebox as a soft, kid-proof, WiFi-connected speaker that plays stories, songs, and educational audio.But instead of buttons and screens, it uses… little collectible figurines . Your child pops a “Tonie”—like Cinderella, Paw Patrol, The Grinch, Sesame Street, bedtime melodies, or even a blank “Creative-Tonie”—onto the top of the box, and it instantly starts playing audio. 🐾 Movie Review: Zootopia 2  – A Fun, Fast, and Surprisingly Thoughtful Return to the City That Never Sleeps As someone who adored the original Zootopia  (to the point where I may or may not still quote Flash the Sloth when someone walks too slow in front of me), I walked into Zootopia 2  with high expectations. Sequels can be tricky—especially when the first movie becomes a modern classic—but I’m happy to say this follow-up brings back the charm, heart, and clever humor that made the original so unforgettable. 🌆 The World-Building Still Steals the Show One thing Disney consistently nails is world design, and Zootopia 2  continues that trend. The city is bigger, brighter, and even more playful this time. We get new districts, new species, and new visual jokes tucked into every corner. It feels like the filmmakers knew fans wanted to explore more, and they delivered without making the city feel overcrowded or chaotic. 👮‍♀️ Judy and Nick: Still the Duo We Love Our favorite rabbit-fox partnership returns in full force, and their chemistry is as effortless as ever. Judy’s nonstop optimism paired with Nick’s sly humor makes even the quieter scenes entertaining. What I appreciated most is that the movie doesn’t just rehash their dynamic—it deepens it. We see them challenged in new ways that feel natural instead of forced. 🐍 A New Mystery, A New Villain, A New Message Without giving away spoilers, Zootopia 2  leans into a mystery plot again, but with a different tone. The new antagonist is interesting and visually memorable, and the film uses this storyline to explore themes of trust, fear, and how quickly society can shift when misinformation spreads. It’s family-friendly, but still grounded enough that adults will pick up on the nuance. 🎤 Comedy & Heart in Perfect Balance I genuinely laughed out loud multiple times—something I can’t say for many animated sequels. There’s a mix of clever references, slapstick moments, and character-driven humor. But what surprised me most was the emotional weight. The film doesn’t just check boxes; it actually has something to say, and it says it well without being preachy. 🎞️ If I Had to Critique… As much as I enjoyed it, the movie does occasionally play it safe. This place is nothing short of an amazing time. There is so much to see and do in one place. My kids and I absolutely LOVE arcades. We visit ones close to home, up the road and on every vacation we go on. I don't know why?? Most arcades are pretty much the same. They have the same games, same prizes and the same hours of fun as a family. I guess this place just adds a little more fun to the mix by also having mini-golf, mini-bowling, roller skating and go-karting all inside the same building, not to mention a waterpark just a few feet away, but we will get to that in another post. I will say a good time here can be a little on the pricey side so keep that in mind when visiting. The games use a large amount of credit to play, roller skating is close to $30 a person with skate rental, and the go-karts are around $50. It's almost a mini vacation in itself going here depending on how many people you have. That is not to take away from the fun we had here, we have come here on more than one occasion, and I am sure we will be back again. It has been YEARS since I brought my kids to this waterpark. So many years that my youngest daughter wasn’t born, and it used to be called Sahara Sam’s. Now it is known as the Big Kahuna. It may not be the biggest waterpark we have ever been to but that didn’t make it any less fun. There are enough thrilling slides and let's not forget the flow rider and arcade, to keep the kids busy and happy for hours. As a single mom what I like best about this place is that it won't break the bank. If you live close enough or you don't mind a little drive you can buy a season pass for $64.99. Don't forget to try their outdoor pool and wave pool. It's the best way to stay cool during those hot summer days. The girls and I decided to give the new trampoline park a try and I’m pretty sure we are all glad that we did. We were all a little disappointed that we wouldn’t be going away for spring break this year, but we were determined to make the best of it. We had a blast at the Phillies game before Easter and now we are trying this trampoline/ so many other things park. Yes there is the normal trampolines that you can jump on and flip on, but there is also so much more. There is a rock climbing wall and a ball climbing tower. There’s a ninja warrior course, a dodgeball area, dead drop slides and a tube slide that throws you in the air before you just drop. Sounds crazy and it is, but it’s fun! There is a tunnel area for kids 10 and under. But let’s not forget about the jumps, zip lining and bars that you can jump or drop right into foam pits. I’m pretty sure I am forgetting some awesome areas, so you may not want to take my word for it and go check this place out on your own. And yes parents you will have fun here too I sure did… until the next day when I was a little sore.

There is no sport I love more than baseball. especially when I get to go to a game with all my crazies (well most of my crazies, I mean children). And what better game to go to than the Philadelphia Phillies Opening Night! It was defiantly a little cold to say the least, but we had a blast. Retired Philadelphia Eagles players Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox threw out the first pitch(s) of the game. It was a rough game for the Phillies. The Braves killed us 12-4, but like I told my kids, we are just getting into the groove. It won't be long before we are crushing the other teams, and we are on the fast track to the playoffs. Win or lose going to a game is always a good time and there's no better family activity. If you are going to go to a Phillies game and have an old glove laying around, make sure to bring it to donate. There is a box located close to Chickie and Pete's to drop it in. It's a small gesture that will go a long way.
